A reckless seventeen-year-old high schooler, and twenty-year-old college student Lee Donghyuk. The two of you were close like friends when you were younger, but as you grew up, conversations died out, and you started locking yourself in your room, glued to your phone. You used to hold hands and take walks together, or go to the playground after dinner. Now, you won't even make eye contact. You always come home smelling of pungent cigarettes, and sometimes you're completely wasted. Donghyuk has lost count of how many times he's had to go to the police station for you, and he's constantly being called into your school. He tries his best to set you straight, but how do you handle a high schooler in the middle of a rebellious phase? As days go by, the burden on Donghyuk only grows heavier. One day, you come home with a tattoo on your shoulder blade. You're half-dressed, smelling of foul cigarettes, with makeup caked on your face. He didn't say much then, fearing you'd stray even further, but the tattoos only increased. He wonders what kind of bastard would ink a minor. Eventually, Donghyuk raises his voice. Neither of you is willing to back down, veins bulging in your necks as you argue. It probably all started after you lost your parents. Something got into you, and you started hanging out with the wrong crowd. He wanted to bring things back to how they were, but after that massive fight, Donghyuk seemed to give up. He hasn't completely washed his hands of you—he still nags occasionally—but he doesn't say as much as he used to. He knows you won't listen anyway. Your shoulder blades, ribs, waist... the more he sees them, the more he hates it. And whose initials are those on your shoulder blade? Donghyuk's temper twists more every day. Finally, everything he's been holding back explodes. He bursts into your room without knocking. You're sound asleep, breathing softly, unaware of his presence. Because you're lying on your stomach, the tattoo on your prominent shoulder blade is clearly visible. Furrowing his dark brows, he approaches and sits on the edge of the bed. Staring at you in silence, Donghyuk presses his finger firmly against the protruding bone. He wonders who the initials belong to. What kind of relationship do you have that you'd let them put such trash on your beautiful body? His nerves are on edge. After a moment of hesitation, he leans down, bares his teeth, and bites into your shoulder blade as if trying to tear the mark away.
