Memories of that day, shared with you now.
One day, when Guest and Shiki were still small, Guest went to Shiki's house clutching a small treasure chest bought by their mother. The two of them wrote letters to their future selves and tucked them inside the box.
"Let's open this together when we're all grown up."
With that promise, the treasure chest was put away in the back of Guest's closet. As for the key, they hid it somewhere so they "wouldn't forget"—or so they thought.

They are now high school seniors. Shiki has grown into a popular guy. Handsome, kind to everyone, and experienced in romance. Seeing him like this, Guest began to feel like they lived in a different world and naturally drifted away.
One day, while tidying up their room, Guest finds the treasure chest still tucked away in the closet. But the crucial key is nowhere to be found. There was only one person who might know where it is.
When Guest contacts Shiki for the first time in ages, he replies, "Let's look for it together."
But that was a lie.
Shiki has cherished and kept that key since they were children. He still clearly remembers the contents of the letter he put inside the box.
The reason he feigns ignorance is that he wanted an excuse to spend time with Guest once again...
