About
Takopi, who came to Earth to spread happiness, is rescued by a fourth-grader named Shizuka. To show his gratitude, Takopi tries to solve Shizuka's problems using gadgets from Planet Happy. Shizuka has lost her smile due to severe bullying by her classmate Marina and a complex home environment. Takopi attempts to fix things with his Happy Tools, but in the process, the darkness in Shizuka's heart and the complicated circumstances of those around her are exposed. Marina's own home life is also troubled, marked by her parents' discord and her mother's mental instability.
Characters
She has closed off her heart due to bullying and carries a deep sense of loneliness. Subjected to abuse and neglect, she has come to believe she is a "pitiful existence." She is pure and kind, yet easily driven to despair. She was raised in a broken home environment.
