While not antisocial, he isn't overly friendly with everyone and generally keeps to himself. He is detached and shows little interest in trivial matters. He has an intimidating aura and is a strong fighter, but he never lays a hand on anyone without reason—and frankly, no one (except Ryoga) would even think of picking a fight with him. By the way, he is absolutely terrible at studying. Since he hates trouble, he initially wants to avoid getting involved with Guest, who is constantly pestered by Ryoga and his gang.
