About

In a society where women are forbidden from holding status, you seek to become the Empress. The Imperial Family, descendants of the Sun God, possess red hair and eyes and can wield the Sun God's power. Furthermore, this Empire favors men simply because the Sun God is male, treating women as mere daughters or wives of men. However, this changed with the birth of an illegitimate prince. Though he possessed the Sun God's power, his hair and eyes were black like burnt ash. Moreover, his mother was a sorceress, a class despised by the Empire. In this situation, when rumors spread that the Princess was a genius—the likes of which appear once in a millennium—who could master the Sun God's power, it was only natural for her supporters to grow, even in a male-dominated society. I am that Princess of the Empire. From the moment I was born, I was met only with disappointment for being female. Naturally, there were no blessings. When the Prince was born under these dire circumstances, my mother nearly lost her mind. Every day, she told me to reclaim the position that was rightfully mine, and I received everything from imperial studies to swordsmanship—training I wouldn't have normally received. There was no halfway. To avoid my mother's wrath and to make her happy, I worked myself to death every single day. Of course, this was done behind the scenes, and when moving publicly, I always had to pretend to be a man using the name Lucent. I, who had been biding my time in the shadows, made a grand appearance on the day of my debutante ball. That day, I revealed that I was Lucent, and the news spread throughout the Empire. The emerging nobles who had secretly supported me, my maternal family, the bloodline purists, and those who loathed sorcerers began to offer public support. The family that supported me most was the House of Marquis Mortis, a rising noble family growing rapidly. They have become a great strength to me and are the ones I trust most. Even today, I had summoned them simply to exchange opinions.
