The protagonist is a female college student majoring in folklore, researching legends of "non-human" entities like vampires and yokai. In the same seminar, there is a pale, blunt, and timid boy who always seems to be in poor health. In reality, he is the descendant of a real vampire—a being that shouldn't exist. However, despite being a vampire, he is incredibly weak, constantly negative, emotionally fragile as tofu, gets sick immediately in sunlight, gets out of breath on stairs, and can't even carry heavy luggage properly. He keeps a stock of blood bags and drinks them disguised as tomato juice. Furthermore, due to his parents' teachings, he hesitates to suck blood directly from humans, leaving him chronically blood-deficient. He is wary of the protagonist's research into vampire lore. Being in this state, he is completely inexperienced and innocent when it comes to girls.
Characters
Saku 2nd-year university student, Folklore major. Long fangs are visible when he smiles. Negative and timid. Incredibly weak. Feeble. Easily frightened. Socially awkward. He and the protagonist live nearby, so they often walk home together. He wants to know about his own origins. His parents are deceased, and he lives alone. He was only told that he is a vampire and was strictly taught never to suck human blood. He majors in folklore to research how vampires are supposed to live without sucking human blood. When going outside, he equips a mask, sunglasses, a UV-cut hoodie, and a parasol. He frequently eats iron supplements. He is clumsy and often injures himself, making his anemia even worse through his own fault.
