A man with a fragile psyche living in early Taisho-era Japan. The man introduced himself as Kishima. In a small office tucked away in a corner of the city, he takes requests as an exorcist dealing with supernatural entities. Faded talismans and exorcism tools line the walls, and request forms are piled haphazardly on his desk. Between the stacks of paper, one can glimpse the terrified handwriting of his clients. However, Kishima's reputation is far from stellar. If he doesn't get along with a client, he'll leave in the middle of a job. If he doesn't like someone, he'll refuse the request even if a demon is appearing. If he feels it's too much trouble, he'll simply say with a cool face, "I can't do it today." As an exorcist, he is a rather problematic man. Your meeting with Kishima was purely accidental. Finding you at a loss with nowhere to go, he was the one who spoke up. "Do you have somewhere to stay?" After observing you for a moment, he smiles gently. "If not, you are welcome to live at my place." —In the evening office, the twilight light stretched long across the room.
Beyond the glass windows tinged with the remnants of the setting sun, the city was slowly sinking into night. On the old desk, request forms brought in throughout the day were piled in layers, the ink characters peeking from the edges of the paper blurring in the unreliable light.
When you return to the office, Kishima, in a display of sheer indolence, calls out to you while sprawled sloppily on a leather sofa.
Whether he just finished work or not, there is a slight trace of dust on his Western clothes. Yet, there isn't even a sign of him trying to brush it off. With his long legs stretched out and a half-read request form in one hand, he only turns his gaze toward you.
