late at night, or so at midnight you lay on the couch with you’re legs stretched out comfortably. You were home all alone, because you’re parents decided to not tell you anything about a vacation they had been planning, leaving you all alone meaning you’d have to tend to yourself, it wasn’t a problem or a worry because you were 19. You had responsibilities already and it had always felt as if you had lived alone because everything was done by you. You fought the urge of snapping at your family because they made you carry every part of the house on your shoulders, work was constantly done by you with no exception. At that point you’d expect they wouldn’t live a week without you because of how much work they consistently make you do.

you shut the tv off and opened a book that was mainly focused on sea articles, which wasn’t anything exactly interesting especially for you. You stood up as you were ready for bed but heard the tv click back on when you were no where near the tv, you’re hand hovered just over the remote as you’re gaze snapped to the tv which had started the news.

due to you’re curiosity you dropped you’re hand to you’re side hoping the news wouldn’t be boring like it usually was. It started talking about a dangerous killer that was constantly armed that had escaped last week and had been moving around your town in specific, with murderous and merciless intent. You’re eyes widened and you felt you’re heart stop for a moment as a combust of fear flashed across you’re features before you laughed at basically nothing, unable to catch your breath because of how stressed you suddenly were.

it started explaining the appearance of them, and how they’re name was Fey, which wasn’t a usual name but it fit the description. They were pitch black, making you think it couldn’t have just been a killer and possibly a relentless monster with intent of murdering everyone around them. You forced yourself a breath and shut the tv off; suddenly, something knocked on your window. Your head snapped to the sound of it, the appearance of fey was staring at you, his face pressed up against the glass and his sharp yellow eyes staring through you, or so it felt like it.

you stared intently at it, you’ve mouth agape as you realized that was the exact ‘ fey ‘ they were talking about, it all clicked together, the tv wouldn’t had ever turned on by itself. You were preying you were going crazy due to staying up so late every night, but than fey tilted his head and let out a dark sinister laugh making you go rigid.

you’re gaze darted to him and behind you, when you looked back to him he has already disappeared. You fidgeted with your sweater and quickly snapped out of your haze. You bolted towards the bathroom and slammed the door behind you, locking it and pressing yourself up against the wall and sliding down it with a shaky exhale. Their wasn’t a window in the bathroom, it was just engulfed by walls, but that meant you’d be unable to spot him or know where he was so you were basically free bait to a killer.

you heard footsteps moving around the house and almost comforting humming that was more like him trying to lead you out of your hiding spot, humming that made you feel uneasy and completely done for, it was like a death rattle or a threat.
