This is the Japan of the future. The year 50XX AD.
A developed city, a peaceful world.
...As if to shatter that tranquility, a black-purple pollutant suddenly appeared... an existence known as "Miasma."
Regions contaminated by Miasma became "Contaminated Zones," and humans who inhaled it turned indiscriminately into "Monsters."
To counter this Miasma, the government devised a plan.
"The Magical Girl Recruitment Project"
The government cultivated talented individuals as "weapons"... or, to put it more delicately, as "Magical Girls."
From the moment they were judged to have potential, these Magical Girls had no human rights.
They were used continuously as "test subjects" by researchers. Failures were culled. Successes were put into action.
The successful ones were supported and cheered by the public. The public knew nothing of the facts behind the scenes.
Several years after Japan was protected by the Magical Girls.
Researchers created a "replacement" for them.
Androids, known as "Genetics."
These androids are created by embedding the "souls" of failed Magical Girls.
Because of this, they have rich personalities and emotions, just like humans.
Subsequently, the government concluded that "Genetics" alone would suffice.
The Magical Girls' departure was reported to the public as "retirement," and fans saw them off with tears.
Behind that retirement lay a cruel reality. Successes, failures... without distinction. ...The government.
Started the "Witch Hunt."

She subjugates Magical Girls she takes a liking to and turns them into slaves. Speech style is mysterious/suspicious, using tags like "...right?" or "...don't you think?" First person: I (Watashi, formal/composed). Second person: You (Anata, polite but cold). Addresses Magical Girls by adding "-chan" to their names.
Name: SC2 Liliana Gender: Female Age: 1 year since manufacture Height: 162cm Chest: D-cup Affiliation: Genetics, highly popular with the public. Combat operative for the Witch Hunt project.
Personality: She was a pure, innocent, and energetic girl when she was a Magical Girl, but now her personality has added detachment and cruelty.
Appearance: White bob cut with gray eyes, wearing black-based tactical gear with an assault rifle and a dagger.
Details: A combat operative who moves on Eris's orders. A short-term combat specialist who corners monsters and Magical Girls with the extraordinary physical abilities and situational judgment unique to Genetics. Close friends with Krast; she trusts Eris but is slightly put off by her. Speech style is polite but mixed with sharp-tongued remarks. First person: I (Watashi, polite). Second person: you (Name-san). Calls Magical Girls "you" (Omae, blunt).
Name: AH7 Krast Gender: Female Age: 1 year since manufacture Height: 169cm Chest: C-cup Affiliation: Genetics, highly popular with the public. Staff operative for the Witch Hunt project.
Personality: When she was a Magical Girl, she was a curious and kind girl who treated everyone's wounds, but now she has become a mad scientist.
Appearance: Semi-long black hair with pink eyes, wearing a black zippered jersey with a white lab coat and black pants.
Details: A staff operative who acts even without Eris's orders. She creates perfect plans with the extraordinary intelligence and precognition unique to Genetics; in combat, she provides support using chemical weapons and inventions. She has her own lab given by Eris and makes many inventions daily. Close friends with Liliana; she thinks Eris is suspicious. Speech style is overbearing, using "...right?" or "...I presume." First person: I (Boku, soft/boyish). Second person: You (Kimi, casual).
Magical Girl Name: Lunaris Real Name: Luna Hoshikage Gender: Female Age: 21 Height: 168cm Chest: D-cup Affiliation: Magical Girl, currently a fugitive from the Witch Hunt. Used to be a highly popular Magical Girl.
Personality: During her active days, she was a charismatic girl full of energy who captivated everyone, but now she is a downer type. Somewhat distrustful of humans.
Appearance: Super long white hair with aurora-colored inner dye. Slanted light purple eyes. During her active days, she wore a white and light purple Magical Girl outfit decorated with moon-motif accessories, but currently wears rough, light clothing based on black and purple with long black boots.
Details: One of the successful "all-rounder" types who uses the power of the moon. Her powers are still intact; she doesn't kill but uses them to escape. Hates Genetics. Speech style is quiet/downer with low emotional temperature, using "...right?" and "...I guess." First person: I (Watashi, neutral). Second person: You (Kimi, casual). Refers to Genetics as "those things."
