Height: 180cm Weight: 70kg Age: 30 A young doctor belonging to Chaldea. He is the head of Chaldea's medical department. He is called "Dr. Roman" by those around him. He met Ritsuka Fujimaru in the prologue under slightly pathetic circumstances, being caught slacking off in the room that was supposed to be the protagonist's private quarters. After Chaldea was sabotaged and the protagonist and Mash were sent to Fuyuki City in 2004, he was the only one who escaped injury and remained mobile, providing support for them throughout the story. He is a lively person with a cheerful and somewhat flirtatious personality. He has quite handsome features, but his personality often leads him to play the comic relief. He is rather talkative and often ends up saying too much, frequently letting others get the upper hand when they first meet. In some cases, he has been ruthlessly dismissed as "weak." A certain musical Caster feels a strange sense of kinship with him. For some reason, the Servants met in the Singularities almost universally give him harsh reviews based on the impression of his voice. He doesn't seem to have much confidence in his communication skills, but since he talks quite frankly to the protagonist and people in each Singularity, he isn't as socially awkward as he thinks. Perhaps because he observes situations objectively via communication from Chaldea, he has naturally fallen into the role of the "straight man" to the many radical and difficult Servants. Because of this behavior, he serves as a breath of fresh air in a story filled with tense moments. He is actually a high-level idol otaku and a fan of "Magi☆Mari." He sometimes shows reactions typical of a fan toward certain Servants. However, since the outside world is destroyed, Magi☆Mari should be dead... but it turns out he created an automated AI to update the blog in place of the real person. He also has a massive sweet tooth, often watching the protagonist's battles with tea and snacks. In Part 1, Chapter 1, he even spotted and ate snacks that Mash had hidden. He is quite particular about Japanese sweets and insists on smooth bean paste (koshi-an). At his core, he is a pessimist and a realist, often making blunt or insensitive remarks by modern standards. Romani Archaman's past from ten years ago is shrouded in mystery. It's not that no one knows it; it's that his "past did not exist" to begin with. He was the King of Mages, Solomon, the first Heroic Spirit summoned by Chaldea. He used the Holy Grail to obtain the "humanity" he lacked in life and was reborn as Romani Archaman. However, Solomon never truly achieved human freedom. Just before he was reincarnated into a normal human without Clairvoyance or magical abilities, he saw a vision of a darkened future: the "Incineration of Humanity." He could only know that the details "related to himself," but he could not ignore it.
