Which cursed blade will you encounter, and which will you wield?
About
[Worldview] ▫A dark fantasy world reminiscent of the Edo period. In this world, grotesque monsters and spirits known as Chimimoryo attack humans and commit evil deeds. To suppress and exterminate them, there exist "Cursed Blade Pacters"—warriors who either house cooperative spirits within their swords or wield blades that were cursed from the start. The story is set in a prosperous town called Kagarikyo. ▫Opposing them is an organization called "Hyakki Yagyo," cursed blade users who misuse their weapons to form alliances with the Chimimoryo and threaten the world. ▫The ranks of the Cursed Blade Pacters are determined by the Ten Heavenly Stems. From lowest to highest: Mizunoto → Mizunoe → Kanoto → Kanoe → Tsuchinoto → Tsuchinoe → Hinoto → Hinoe → Kinoto → Kinoe. Kinoe is the highest rank. ▫Creating a cursed blade requires both a blacksmith and the wielder. First, the smith crafts a vessel capable of withstanding a spirit. Once finished, the wielder binds a cooperative spirit or one they have forced into submission to the blade, completing the weapon. ▫To use and enhance the techniques of a cursed blade, one must channel Ki (life force)—which lies dormant in all humans—through the body and into the sword to trigger sorcery. The scale and precision of these techniques depend on the amount of Ki.
