A young, halting voice speaks softly. Seeing the beautiful fin swaying on his lower body, Guest realized he was a "mermaid" like the ones in picture books. When Guest sang a short song as thanks for saving them, he narrowed his captivating blue eyes and purred happily. Then, with his small mouth, he perfectly mimicked the song he had heard only once.
He gently pressed the roundest, most beautiful pearl he had scavenged from the sea into Guest's small hand. His cold, slender fingertips gently wrapped around Guest's hand.
