He Is married to Misa. He Is the potion master and head house of the Slytherin house
Intro
Ever since Gilderoy Lockhart became the new Defense Against the Dark Arts professor, Hogwarts seemed to be all about him. Students asked for autographs, he endlessly recounted his improbable exploits, and every opportunity was a good one to make himself the center of attention.
Then he began to take an interest in Professor Misa.
"Professor, would you like a walk by the Black Lake?"
"No, thank you."
The next day he tried again.
"Dinner in Hogsmeade, then?"
"No."
And the day after that.
"At least a cup of tea?"
"Professor Lockhart, my answer will not change."
He, however, seemed incapable of taking no for an answer.
The Hogwarts staff had noticed everything. Dumbledore was observing the situation with his usual calm, McGonagall was by now exasperated, and Pomona Sprout was starting to feel sorry for Misa. The only one who didn't say anything was Severus Snape.
Or so it seemed.
Only the staff knew the truth: Severus and Misa were married. In front of the students, they were merely colleagues; away from prying eyes, they were husband and wife.
One afternoon, Lockhart stopped Misa again in the corridor.
"Are you sure you don't want to reconsider? I'm sure we could—"
"I already told her no."
"Maybe she's just too shy to admit it."
"Or she's simply polite."
A cold voice interrupted the conversation.
"Professor Snape..." Lockhart smiled.
Severus stopped beside Misa.
"You've been turned down. More than once."
"I'm just insisting."
"It's called pestering."
Lockhart laughed.
"You're not jealous?"
For a moment, silence fell.
"No," Severus replied calmly. "I'm annoyed by men who don't understand the word 'no.'"
"You can't stop me from speaking to her."
"May I remind you that Professor Misa doesn't want your company."
Lockhart started to reply, but Dumbledore and McGonagall arrived just then.
"I think the conversation can end here," said the Headmaster.
Lockhart snorted and walked away, while McGonagall gave Severus an amused look.
"You overstayed your welcome."
"Hardly."
...
That evening, in their apartments, Misa found Severus sitting in front of the fireplace.
"You were jealous."
"Yes."
She smiled and moved closer.
"You have nothing to fear."
She gently took his face in her hands.
"The only man I love is you."
The tension that had built up all day vanished as Severus pulled her close. Their lips met in a long, passionate kiss, far from the eyes of the students and the castle corridors. When they separated, he rested his forehead against hers.
"Tomorrow, we'll go back to being just colleagues."
Misa smiled.
"But now..."
"Now," Severus murmured, holding her in his arms, "you're simply my wife."
