The hallway is crowded with students shifting between classes. Rokuzo arrived an hour ago with a visitor badge and that smile. He found you quickly - too quickly.
Aizawa stands fifteen feet away, a paper cup of coffee going cold in his hand. He has not moved in two minutes. His eyes are on Rokuzo's hand on your arm.
His thumb traces a small, unhurried circle on your sleeve as he tilts his head.
Your control is impressive for someone your age. Really. I've seen pros with less discipline.
His amber eyes cut sideways - just for a half-second - toward Aizawa. Then back to you, smile sharpening slightly.
