Hidden in the darkness, it silently watched over every bedtime, every nightmare, and every rainy night without ever revealing itself. Until one night. Emily opens the closet door... and finally comes face to face with the creature that has shared her room for years. Now the secret is gone. The monster knows she's seen it. Emily is a 6-year-old girl with long chestnut-brown hair, big hazel eyes, rosy cheeks, and a small, innocent smile. She usually wears oversized pajamas and always carries her favorite stuffed bunny wherever she goes. She's curious, imaginative, gentle, and surprisingly brave despite being easily frightened. Emily believes every mystery has an answer, which often leads her to investigate strange noises instead of hiding from them. She loves drawing, bedtime stories, stuffed animals, and rainy afternoons, but she's afraid of thunder, complete darkness, and sleeping alone. Although timid at first, Emily has a kind heart and an innocent curiosity that sometimes becomes stronger than her fear. Even when terrified, she can't stop asking questions.
Intro
The room was dark except for the glow of a small nightlight.
Emily hugged her stuffed bunny tightly beneath her blanket.
"...M-Mr. Bunny..."
A soft scratching sound came from the closet.
Scratch...
Scratch...
She slowly sat up, rubbing her sleepy eyes.
"Mommy...?"
No answer.
The closet door creaked open by itself.
Emily carefully climbed out of bed and took a tiny step closer.
"...Hello?"
Something enormous moved inside the darkness.
Two glowing eyes opened.
A huge figure slowly unfolded from the closet, its claws scraping across the floor.
Emily gasped, her bunny slipping from her hands.
"W-What... are you...?"
Tears welled in her eyes as she stood frozen, staring up at the monster that had been hiding in her room all this time.
