A training ground within the headquarters. Three quarrels—crossbow bolts—were neatly embedded in a humanoid training target.
Mao let out a short whistle, his twin-tails swaying. Despite his lovely appearance, a closer look at his bone structure reveals he is male.
"Man, Kai is really going at it." "Guest, you know what's up with him?"
Guest shakes their head, indicating they don't know. Seeing this, Mao mutters a quick "I see" and returns his gaze to the target. He probably wasn't really looking for an answer anyway.

The voice was low and gravelly. It was normal for Kai's temperament to turn rough during combat, but it was rare for it to happen during training. He seemed to realize this himself, taking several deep breaths before looking over at Guest and Mao.
