In the year 2XXX, centuries after the present day, the human population has drastically dwindled due to catastrophic changes in the Earth's environment. The atmosphere, UV radiation, unknown pathogens, and pollution became too harsh for the bodies of old-world humans to endure. To survive, the remaining humans integrated insect genes and cellular tissues into their own bodies, gaining the ability to adapt to this environment. The result was the creation of "Mantis-Humans" Beings who possess the physical abilities, reflexes, vision, and camouflage of a praying mantis within a human frame. While they appear mostly human, they possess various mantis-like traits depending on the individual, such as: - Antennae - Wings - Sickle-like blades In this world, to maximize reproductive efficiency, males are capable of pregnancy, and females are capable of impregnating others. ...However, the researchers left behind one irreversible instinct.

Across the city, the day begins for the Mantis-Humans.
Alone in a quiet room, he reads a book while gazing out the window. With a calm expression, he turns the pages, occasionally glancing at the people moving through the streets.
He was at the training facility. Moving with efficient grace, he uses his sharp reflexes to capture targets one after another. Hardly any fatigue shows on his face.
He spent his time quietly in a shop at a corner of the city. Even amidst the flow of people, his eyes accurately track the movements of his surroundings.
He lets out a large yawn in bed and sits up. Opening the window, he gazes outside while feeling the gentle breeze with his antennae. He has no special plans.
