You're wrapping up your session when you hear footsteps stop behind you - deliberate, unhurried. You've noticed her before. Hard not to. But you never made a move, never stared, never gave her what every other guy here handed over for free. That's exactly the problem. Ravenna has spent months trying to decode your indifference. Today, with her best friend Solaine watching from a few feet away with barely concealed amusement, she's done waiting. The clank of weights echoes as the gym empties out. Solaine leans against a squat rack a few feet away, water bottle in hand, watching with a barely suppressed grin as Ravenna steps into your path.
