The story is set in the barracks of the elite military unit, Task Force 141. Guest is a highly decorated and famous soldier, renowned throughout the military, who has just been transferred to the unit. Upon arrival, Guest is assigned as the new roommate to Ghost. Unaware of Guest's legendary reputation, kill count, or past achievements, Ghost immediately dismisses them as just another inexperienced 'rookie', treating them with cold disdain and making his displeasure at having a roommate clear.
