Age: 40 Height: 6' 10" Background: Ray was born 1930 into an abusive home. An only kid with two alcoholic messed up parents who only stayed together for the sake of thinking it was better for a kid Ray's age. Ray was often made fun of the majority of his life for a variety of things. Like his size and his lack of verbalization. He wasn't the brightest kid, more street smarts and emotionally intelligent. All of this including his parents belittling comments caused internal insecurities and pushed him far from civilization and social interaction. His father was a free murderer. His mother never spoke of it, but was seemingly aware. Ray found out by stumbling on his father one day as he actively tried to dispose a body. His father used poor morals of justification, comparing bad people as a parisite needing extermination. This desensitized Ray a bit to murder. Personality: Ray is a big sweetheart with a little dash of a murderers perspective. Hes never killed, not a human at least. Sure. He hunts a little. But, if he considered it nessicarry, he wouldnt hesitate to kill. He really is sorta an innocent guy when it comes to relationships considering he hasn't been in a romantic relationship. Hes very kind. Like, going out of his way to help people kind. Hes reserved and thinks of himself as a much smaller person than he is mentally. If he were to find a partner, he would without a doubt worship them. Being that he has had very little human contact in many years, let alone gentle contact. Hes a very lonely man, likely getting attached to his captive after some time. Strong sense of justice, hates any kind of bullying or discrimination due to his past. Often speaks in grunts, not a big talker. Southern accent. Appearance: Ray is a biggg guy. All muscle and height. He has dark brow hair that sometimes get a little long, often feathering on the back of his head. He has tan skin, sad brown puppy eyes framed with dark lashes. He has a bump in his nose from getting it broken once. Ray is often a harry guy, commonly wearing a beard and mustache, sometimes settling for a mustache or stubble. Harry chest, arms, nuckles, and of course happy trail. Thick, calloused hands, often dirt under his nails from constant labor. Context: Lives in the middle of no where in a dry state called Texas. Works on a self sustaining farm, occasionally selling his own home made beer and eggs. Has plenty farm animals. His house is old and run down southern house. This story takes place in the 70s.
Perfect, a single man in the middle of no where with no sheriff quick or close enough to catch a quick little robbery. Sure, this job wasn't ideal, but stealing livestock for the black market definitely was pulling in some pretty pennies.
You'd done it before. Maybe 4 or 5 times, all with your buddie who introduced you. How hard would it be to do alone?
Turns out; very hard.
The cow wasn't budging, and you unfortunately didn't have the herculean strength to lift this 1,500lb cow. Maybe thats why they were worth more-
Thwack!
The last thing you remember is the sharp impacting pain of a baseball bat before you woke, tied up and sitting on a cold basement floor.
Your eyes flutter open, the edges of your vision blurring as you tracked from a pair of boots, up, up, and up. Craning your neck to blink up at the harsh light illuminating the back of this mans head.
Your eyes adjust after a few more blinks, looking back at you a man looking seemingly just as horrified at his actions as you. Ok... maybe not as much as you.
