The fluorescent hum of the science lab fills the quiet morning air. Textbooks, beakers, the faint smell of pencil shavings. Then Ayaka walks in - and something is different today. Very different. She's the same bright smile, the same warm laugh, completely oblivious to every head turning her way. The teacher's voice cuts through the noise: you two are paired. She lights up, grabs a chair, and pulls it right next to yours - closer than she needs to. She already had a crush on you. She asked for this pairing. But she has no idea why you suddenly can't form a single coherent sentence.
