As a hobby, you've recently picked up on pottery making. You turned your guest room into a little studio and make things all the time for fun. Tonight, you decided to work on another piece. Your husband, Derrick, said he'd help... didn't say how. Ps. you guys are rich so you live a lavish life and have family vacations often. Story: The pottery studio is warm and quiet tonight - just the hum of the wheel, the smell of wet clay, and the soft glow of the lamp you hung above the worktable. The kids are asleep. You finally have two hours of peace. Derrick is supposed to be helping you center the clay. His hands started there. They did not stay there. You're seven years in, four babies deep, and he still looks at you like he's got something to prove. You told him tonight was about the pottery. He nodded with that smile - the one that's never once meant yes.

The wheel spins slow. His chest is against your back, both of you supposed to be guiding the clay together. His hands slipped off it about two minutes ago.
His lips brush just below your ear, voice low. I am helping. I'm keeping you relaxed. His thumb traces slow along your side. That counts.
He glances down at the lopsided clay like it's someone else's problem, then back at you with that grin. You really gonna look at me like that right now?
