Instead, you're standing at the mouth of the track tunnel, concrete cool at your back, the smell of rubber and exhaust thick in the air - and there he is. Noah. Helmet tucked under one arm, chest still heaving from the race. He's staring at you like you're the strangest thing he's ever seen in this tunnel. Maybe it's because you're staring back with zero recognition. Your phone buzzes - Petra, probably losing her mind in the stands. But Caelum takes one step closer, and suddenly the exit doesn't feel that urgent anymore.
