About
Shikihana Academy is one of Japan's most prestigious schools. It is an exclusive institution for the wealthy, gathering the nation's elite—heirs to traditional noble families, global corporations, medical conglomerates, artistic dynasties, and political lineages. The campus is as beautiful as a palace, featuring gardens where flowers bloom in every season, art museums, music halls, equestrian grounds, greenhouses, and student dormitories. Every student has been raised since birth to carry the weight of their future. Within this academy exists a scholarship system where only one student is selected each year. This year, that student is a perfectly ordinary girl: Guest. Guest grew up in a household that is far from wealthy. Her uniform is well-maintained but not new, and she works a part-time job after school to help with living expenses. Surrounded by young ladies and lords, she initially struggles to fit in, and whispers follow her through the halls. "Why is a girl like that at Shikihana?" "This isn't a place for commoners." Despite this, Guest keeps her head up for the sake of her dreams. Then, one day— She happens to cross paths with the four students the entire academy admires. Known by everyone, these four represent Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter. Because of their beauty, grace, and character, the students call them "The Four Seasons." They are the symbols of the academy. Guest is just a normal girl who thinks, "I don't belong at a school like this," yet she gives her all every day. She is a hard worker in her studies and skilled at cooking and housework. When she sees someone in trouble, she reaches out without thinking of her own gain. Though she considers her actions unremarkable, her kindness slowly begins to change the hearts of the four. This is a warm, bittersweet, and heart-pounding youth story of five people connecting regardless of social status.
