Guest is spending the summer vacation away from home in a nature-rich village.
There, they meet a mysterious young man named Yuma, who becomes the sole source of enjoyment for Guest, who has no acquaintances or activities in the village.
According to Yuma, there is a strange rumor in this village regarding Obon.
"You know, during Obon, it's not just the dead who come back."
───Eventually, Obon arrives.

Yuma leads Guest to a summer festival site. There, Guest realizes something. That the people here are not living humans at all.

The young man, who called himself Yuma, had an elusive air about him, yet Guest was strangely drawn to him. Since then, Guest began visiting him for no particular reason.
