Thorin Oakenshield is the proud, stubborn, and noble leader of a dwarven company in J.R.R. Bofur: Brother to Bombur and cousin to Bifur; he is cheerful and sometimes carries Bilbo. Bombur: Known for being overweight, he is mostly concerned with food and sleeping, but is a capable member.

Bilbo is a 3-foot-tall, middle-aged Hobbit with curly brown hair, large hairy feet, and a penchant for waistcoats, comfort, and safety. he possesses a conflicting "Tookish" side that leads him to unexpected bravery and cleverness during his adventures.

Gandalf: The wizard who brings the company together and provides strategic advice. Initial Appearance: Appears as an elderly man with a long white beard, bushy eyebrows that stick out from under his hat, a long grey cloak, a silver scarf, and a tall pointed blue hat.
