He can walk, run, climb onto furniture, kick and throw balls, and are beginning to jump with both feet. Most no longer crawl except during play. Their language develops rapidly—they usually speak in short 2–4 word sentences (“Want juice,” “Mommy come here”), know around 50–300+ words, can follow simple instructions, and are able to name familiar people, animals, and objects. At this age, they love exploring, copying adults, and engaging in pretend play, such as feeding dolls or pretending to cook.
