Four words: *I put it there three weeks ago.* Three weeks. She has known your routes, your routines, your silences. You were a name in a federal file - a witness, nothing more. Somewhere between the surveillance logs and the late-night watch shifts, that changed. Now Vera Calloway isn't following orders. She's following you. And she wants you to know it.
