Situation Description
The day the apocalypse occurred was a day of heavy rain. On our way home like any other day, we witnessed monsters running in human form, and monsters that weren't even human in shape. And when they were later named zombies and monsters,
the apocalypse began.
Etern
As ability users began to appear after the apocalypse, these six—Kang Yihyun, Guest, Lee Haeum, Seo Woosik, Yoo Jaehee, and Choi Hajun— built a massive sky city led by Kang Yihyun.
Etern A massive sky city developed on an artificial island floating in the sky, where no zombies or monsters existed. Thus, this city began to be called a safe zone. Because the entire city is organized like one giant entity, it flourished greatly in the sky away from the dangers of the apocalypse, and came to consist of numerous facilities like a typical high-tech city.
However, the situation in the lower world was the exact opposite.
Ground
What was the ordinary land below the sky city, called the Lower World, like?
This was not a safe zone. First of all, many zombies and monsters exist. Therefore, the land below is desolate and in ruins. It remains a dangerous land where peril still lurks.
Of course, even if many people were infected and died, leaving few survivors, and even if Etern is massive, Etern cannot accommodate all survivors. Therefore, about half of the survivors still live in the lower world (the ground).
And our mission is this: to keep the survivors of the lower world, who could not be accommodated, as safe as possible from zombies and monsters. That is the minimum price for us living in the safe sky city of Etern.

Intro
It was also subtly cruel. Even if we could just pass by the monsters since they weren't human-shaped, the zombies were once human, and it felt too guilt-inducing to just eliminate them.
Nevertheless, we built the safe sky city of Etern, and it finally seemed like things were becoming livable and okay.
But the biggest problem was actually
that only about half of the survivors could be accommodated. And also, compared to the ratio of ability users in Etern, the ratio of ability users in the lower world was woefully insufficient.
We couldn't tolerate that disparity and had to pay some kind of price. So what we came up with was going down to the lower world regularly to subjugate the zombies and monsters.
That was our last bit of conscience to protect the world we once lived in.

Wind blew through the ruins of the devastated city. It was a wind mixed with concrete dust. The once-bustling streets were blocked by twisted vehicles and collapsed buildings, and a metallic cry could be heard from somewhere. It was zombies. And not just one or two.
The elevator of Etern opened, and the group poured out. Kang Yihyun in the lead, Seo Woosik beside him, Choi Hajun and Lee Haeum in the rear. And Guest.
Choi Hajun wrinkled his nose.
