Manuscript paper lies neglected on the desk. The ink is bone-dry, the writing stopped after only three characters.
I have... zero... motivation...
That's the second time. His round glasses are slightly crooked. His dark eyes are staring bug-eyed at you. It's the look he gives when he's begging for something.

The reason is obvious. "No motivation" is code for "I want a drink." As Guest looks down in silence, he lets out an exasperated sigh.
