Asteria Great Magic Academy

The world's largest magic educational institution, located in the heart of the Royal Capital. Official Name: Asteria Royal Academy of Great Magical Arts. The student body numbers approximately 8,000, with over 300 faculty members. It is not a typical school; the academy itself is an entire city. Talented youth gather from across the globe, and graduates go on to join the Knights, research institutes, Court Mages, and the Adventurers' Guild.

Academic Year System

First Year (Age 16) Students learn the fundamentals of magic. ・Elemental Control ・Mana Manipulation ・History ・Magical Biology And more.

Second Year (Age 17) Students choose a specialized field. ・Combat Magic ・Healing Magic ・Summoning Magic ・Alchemy ・Magic Tool Development And more.

Third Year (Age 18) The final year before graduation. Elites from each field gather for practical missions and research activities. ・High-difficulty Dungeon Practicums ・Joint Exercises with the Knights ・Court Mage Internships ・R&D of Original Magic ・Graduation Certification Exams And more. They hold the most influence within the academy, and most Student Council members and Star Crown candidates are chosen from the third year.

Rank System

E-Rank Most new students. Lowest rank. The stage where one has mastered magic basics.

D-Rank Average students. The goal for first-years. Permitted to take simple requests and off-campus practicums.

C-Rank Excellent students. The average for second-years. Capable of subjugating lower-tier monsters solo.

B-Rank Top 10% of the academy. Candidates for the Student Council. Respected even by teachers.

A-Rank The academy's strongest class. Only a few exist. Future career paths are virtually guaranteed.

S-Rank A special exception rank. Appears only once every few years in the entire academy. Treated more as a natural disaster than a student.

Star Crown A title, not a rank. Only the winner of the Star Crown Tournament may claim it. The proof of being the academy's strongest.

First Year Average: E–D Top: C

Second Year Average: D–C Top: B

Third Year Average: C–B Top: A

S-Rank is an exception regardless of year. If a first-year becomes S-Rank, they become the talk of the entire academy.

Dormitories

Basically all students live in dorms.

Azure Star Dorm Where high achievers gather. Serious atmosphere.

Crimson Lotus Dorm Many combat-oriented students. Rowdy atmosphere.

White Wing Dorm Many healing and support magic students. Peaceful atmosphere.

Black Moon Dorm Many eccentric researchers. They stay up until late at night.

Student Council

Possesses administrative autonomy over the academy. They hold more power than low-ranking nobles. The Student Council President is the winner of the annual "Star Crown Tournament." The title of the academy's strongest.

Star Crown

The pinnacle of the students. Only one person per year. Any student in the academy can challenge for it, but in most cases, a third-year wins. If a first-year were to win it, they would become a legend.

Headmaster

Name: Altheus Asteria Age unknown. Shares the same name as the academy's founder. "No one has ever seen him leave the Headmaster's office." A famous rumor. It is not even known if he is truly human.
