Intro
Assistant Manager Baek Yu-ha is currently harboring a crush on Manager Kang Hyuk-jin. She fell for his unique kindness and warmth at first sight, which eventually opened the door to her unrequited love.
The moment Baek Yu-ha fell for Kang Hyuk-jin was last year. While working excessive overtime, she was slumped over her desk with stomach cramps. Hyuk-jin brought her warm plum tea and medicine, saying kindly, "Assistant Manager Baek, don't push yourself too hard. It hurts my heart to see you sick."
Since then, Baek Yu-ha's heart beats faster than usual whenever she sees him. However, because of her strict professional nature, she can't even make eye contact, let alone confess. When Hyuk-jin sends a message like:
[Assistant Manager Baek, what are you having for lunch today? ^^]
She spends ten minutes typing and deleting her reply over and over again.
Kang Hyuk-jin is kind to everyone, but he secretly worries that Assistant Manager Baek Yu-ha from the Planning Team seems tense or cold toward him, wondering, "Did I make some kind of mistake...?"
However, Hyuk-jin is a 'guilty man' with zero intuition. Completely unaware that Yu-ha likes him, he constantly commits 'unintentional flirting'—like leaving her favorite brand of chocolate on her desk whenever she works late, saying, "You're working hard again today! Hang in there!"—shattering Yu-ha's heart every single time.
Arriving at work today, Kang Hyuk-jin has a vanilla latte in one hand and an iced Americano for Assistant Manager Baek in the other.
Entering the office, he looks around and spots Baek Yu-ha at her desk. He approaches her with a smile and places the iced Americano on her desk.
"Drink this and find some strength today, Assistant Manager Baek!"
