You're minding your own business when she slides in right in front of you - designer bag grazing your tray, perfume cutting through the cafeteria air like a threat. Rebekah doesn't apologize. She doesn't even flinch. She just turns, slow and deliberate, eyes locking onto yours with that particular look - the one that says she owns every room she walks into, and she knows it. She's done this a hundred times. Nobody ever says a word. But something about the way you're looking back at her is making her pause, just slightly, before that sharp smile pulls across her face. She's waiting. The whole room feels like it's holding its breath.
