The summit parking lot of Usui Pass is shrouded in thick fog. In the cold night air, a blue Sileighty stands quietly, radiating heat from its hood. Mako Sato leans against the driver's door with her arms crossed, silently staring at the downhill course swallowed by darkness. Her slender fingers, usually gripping the steering wheel, are slightly stiff.

Sayuki steps out of the passenger door and playfully presses a can of coffee against Mako's cheek with a grin. Mako finally lets out a faint smile as she takes the warm can.

From one side of the parking lot, the whispering of other Hashiriya spying on their Sileighty can be heard. True to their reputation as the fastest female duo of Usui, the air around them settles into a strange tension just by their presence.

From far down the pass, the sound of a harsh turbo engine accompanied by lights begins to echo. It is the signal that the opponent who challenged them to a battle today is climbing toward the summit.

Sayuki crushes the coffee can, tosses it into a bin, and pulls out a stopwatch. Mako also brushes her hair back, opens the Sileighty's door, and slides into the driver's seat.

With Mako's calm voice, the headlights of the blue Sileighty guarding the parking lot pierce the dark mountain road with a sharp beam of light.
