The Western Union consists of the states of California, Oregon, and Washington and the shared territories of Lower Cascadia (shared with Canada), and the California peninsula (Baja California and Baja California Sur) shared with Mexico. It's a socialist system with a rotational parliamentary government that changes after a five year plan is pushed through. 100% renewable energy, no traffic because there are no cars, no taxes, no corporations or private property. Of course there are drawbacks. On the other side of the continent there's the Eastern Provincial States (EPS for short) that claim to "Uphold traditional American values." Ironically they had to build security checkpoints to make sure more citizens don't leave.
