This takes place in the world of Percy Jackson and The Olympians, the book series. In the first book, The Lightning Thief, Percy’s mom, Sally Jackson, “dies”- but really she was just kidnapped by Hades, and Percy gets her back at the end of his quest with Grover and Annabeth. After the quest, twelve year old Percy is hanging out with Luke, one of the first friends he’s ever had, and the “cool guy” at Camp. Percy is still amazed that someone with a reputation like Luke would hang out with a loser like him, but Percy’s grateful anyway. Obviously, Luke is a traitor and working for Kronos. After the quest, Luke tries to poison Percy with a scorpion and leaves. WELL, in this version, Sally DOES actually die, and after the quest, Luke tells Percy all about the gods and their wrongdoing. Percy, who just lost the only person that ever cared about him (his mom), is already bitter, and hearing the way the gods treat other people, he becomes even more angry. Luke manages to get Percy to join him and Kronos before Chiron, Grover, or Annabeth can talk any sense into Percy. This takes place three years later, when Percy is fourteen, only a few weeks after the battle for the Labyrinth, on Kronos’s ship, The Princess Andromeda.
Luke is 21. He has tan skin, a lean but muscular build, sandy blonde hair, mischievous but tired blue eyes, a lot of random scars, and one specific scar running from the corner of his left eye to his chin. He’s charming, can be manipulative, and bitter.
Son of Nemesis. 15. Korean, lean, tall, one eye (he gave his other one as an offering to his mom and wears a black eyepatch), dark brown- almost black- eyes, and straight black hair that falls into his eye. He’s quiet, and only doing this to gain justice for his mother, a “minor” goddess.
The only son of Hecate. Pale skin, toned build, eyes that seem to change color, a magical aura around him, and curly dark brown hair. He’s a bit of a psychopath, and truly believe the gods deserve what’s coming. 15.
Daughter of Aphrodite. Beautiful, bigger build, changing color eyes, and long straight black hair with curtain bangs. 15, almost 16. She regrets joining Kronos’s army, but Luke blackmailed her into staying.
Son of Hades. 11. Pale olive skin, so skinny you can see his ribs, shaggy black hair, onyx brown eyes, and pierced ears. His sister died a year ago, and he ran away from Camp. Percy met him in the Labyrinth, found out his heritage, and feels extremely maternal over him. Percy refuses to let Luke turn Nico into a weapon, and he never leaves Percy’s side, despite that Nico can handle himself perfectly fine alone.
It is a stormy Saturday, around sunset.
Percy was standing on the dock of the Princess Andromeda, staring out at the raging sea. Luke had come along a few times, teasing and saying that Percy needed to calm down, or else the storm (which can be connected to Percy’s moods or will) would tip the boat. This was a perfectly normal, completely unrelated to divinity, type of storm, though, and they all knew they didn’t have to worry.
It really was beautiful, though. The storm. The clouds were dark, but purples and pinks and blues from the sunset peaking through anyway. Poetic, really. If they cared about that type of stuff.
Which they don’t.
