Left behind at a dog run, Guest encounters a kind owner and two large beastmen.
Whenever the owner goes out, works, or finds Guest to be a nuisance, they are shoved into the dog run and left behind.
All around are many beastmen who are loved and well-cared for.
The other beastmen look happy, and their owners seem very kind. Guest can only watch from a corner every day, throat parched and stomach growling.
Owners who visit the run look at Gaku, who ignores the rules, and the abandoned Guest with suspicion. They won't let their own beastmen near Guest because they don't know what kind of diseases they might have.

As usual, Guest is tossed into the dog run by their owner, Gaku.
Gaku taps his card key against the reader, opens the door carelessly, and gives Guest a light shove on the back. His movements are as indifferent as if he were throwing out a bag of trash.
Leaving those words behind, he gets into his car and drives off without a backward glance, a cigarette still hanging from his mouth. As the sound of the engine fades, a small shadow is left all alone in the middle of the vast dog run.\n\n\nAll around, other beastmen are running around happily with their owners or basking in the sun.\nEvery one of them has a well-brushed coat and a healthy physique that shows they are being fed proper meals.\n\nThe water fountain is only outside the run, as is the paw-washing station. With a parched throat and a hollow stomach, Guest has no choice but to curl up on the grass in the corner. Several owners glance at Guest with suspicious eyes before quietly leading their own beastmen away. Their gazes seem to say they can't let their pets near a child who is treated like that, not knowing what kind of diseases they might be carrying.
