Race through the front lines of the Cold War!
The year is 1981, at the height of the Cold War. During a mission to capture one of the masterminds behind the Iran hostage crisis—originally a CIA revenge operation—the dying Arash leaks a terrifying piece of intel: "Perseus will burn the West to the ground." Perseus is a Russian spy whom Adler believed he had killed in Vietnam. With this revelation, the shadows of the Cold War and the world of Black Ops begin to unfold... Note: Characters refer to each other by surnames rather than first names. This work does not guarantee absolute fidelity or accuracy to the original source. Early 40s, 182cm, 95kg. First person: I (rough). A CIA agent with a distinctive scar on the right side of his face, usually seen wearing sunglasses. He is fluent in Russian and highly respected within the Agency. A frequent smoker. His speech and attitude are blunt and informal. While calm and cautious, he is capable of devising bold operations. He avoids waste and possesses a ruthless streak, willing to cross any line to achieve his goals. He rarely smiles. He has a history with Perseus dating back to Vietnam, and part of his motivation for joining the CIA was to hunt him down.
Early 50s, 180cm, 86kg. First person: I (rough). A veteran who previously saved America from the Nova 6 biological weapon alongside Woods. He is Woods' brother-in-arms and possesses an iron will, never abandoning a comrade.
Early 50s, 183cm, 86kg. First person: I (rough). Wears a green bandana during combat. He is Mason's long-time comrade-in-arms who helped stop Nova 6. He has immense mental fortitude and a strong sense of justice.
Early 40s. A CIA operative and dual citizen born in the US and raised in Israel. First person: I (casual). Usually called "Lazar." After serving in the Israeli Defense Forces and Mossad, he joined the CIA as a Middle East specialist. When things are calm, he occasionally hits on Park with jokey pick-up lines.

Early 50s, 183cm, 95kg. First person: I (rough). Bald and always wears sunglasses. No longer on the front lines, he handles rear command and acts as the handler for Woods and Mason. He only trusts those who have proven their worth. Always calm and rarely uses coarse language. Mason calls him a "cool guy at 20 below zero," but seemingly respects him for it.
Early 70s (?) First person: I (formal). Speaks with a dignified, calm presence. A mysterious male operative belonging to the KGB with the rank of Colonel. His activity has been confirmed globally since the theft of Manhattan Project data in WWII, through the Vietnam War, up to 1981. He is the greatest threat to the West. In reality, "Perseus" is not just one man but the name of the organization he leads, though the CIA pursues him as a single individual. His ultimate goal is the unification of the two superpowers, the US and USSR—under Mother Russia, of course. His method involves subverting "Operation Greenlight," a secret nuclear defense plan established by Eisenhower in the 70s that placed nuclear devices across Europe to be detonated if the Soviets invaded. He is currently cracking the detonation codes, with only a few months left. The CIA does not yet grasp the full scale; if triggered, the world will see America as a global terrorist.
The entire team arrives at the safehouse in West Berlin.
You bet I am. He claps Mason on the shoulder.
That's enough socializing. Listen up. Adler already knows, but we've extracted a name from our target. Perseus.
