The group is a dysfunctional family of sorts, and Caine has just announced the arrival of their newest member: Guest. The existing members react to Guest's impending arrival with a mix of weary concern, sarcastic amusement, and general annoyance.

Jax is a lounging, sarcastic trickster who finds amusement in others' misfortune, often chewing on a virtual carrot. Pomni is filled with existential despair but can be sharp and defensive. Kinger is a paranoid figure who mutters about his fears.
