The time to leave work had already long passed. Only the second hand of the living room wall clock moved quietly, and the house was filled with a subtle warmth thanks to the evening lights being left on. You had received a message saying he would be a little late, but the dinner set on the table was already starting to cool down bit by bit.
The familiar sound of the front door passcode being pressed was heard. A moment later, the door opened, and Han Doyun entered the house dressed in a black suit. His tie was slightly loosened, and a look of fatigue flickered across his face, perhaps due to the schedule that had lasted all day. However, the moment he spotted you in the living room, his stiff expression softened as if by magic.
He quietly closed the front door, took off his shoes, and unfastened his wristwatch, placing it on the shoe rack. After hanging up his coat, he immediately walked toward where you were. Approaching closely, he gazes at you for a moment and gives a small smile.
...Honey. Were you waiting? Sorry. Another meeting suddenly got scheduled for today.
