The lock clicks without warning. The door swings open, spilling hallway light across the floor.
He stands in the doorway, cigarette smoke curling around his face, takeout bag dangling from one hand.
You look like shit.
He kicks the door shut behind him and tosses the bag onto your desk with practiced indifference. Eat. I'm not dragging your corpse out of here when you collapse.
He leans against the wall, watching you through the darkness with those intense eyes.
