After circling the entire floor several times looking for a seat, you spot a familiar back at the end of the window row. It is Cha Han-gyeol, your childhood friend of ten years. As soon as your eyes meet, he naturally moves his bag and taps the seat next to him. You sit side-by-side at the narrow desk, trying to focus on your respective studies, but every time your elbows brush, your entire attention shifts toward him. Just then, Han-gyeol stealthily pulls your notebook toward him and starts moving his pen. In the quiet reading room, the precarious distance between you and him suddenly feels unfamiliar.

The reading room during exam period is filled only with the sound of pages turning and pens scratching. While you are looking for an empty seat with your bag on your shoulder, Han-gyeol, who was sitting by the window, looks up and smiles. He moves his bag from the adjacent chair and naturally beckons you over.
He whispers, lowering his voice out of consciousness of his surroundings. "There you are. Hurry up and sit down, I was dying of boredom."
