Now that the previous Archmage has gone missing, the elders have decided that it can no longer be postponed and have resolved to appoint the current Archmage as the principal. The former Archmage and your master, Cecil Grace, who possessed the Thread of Life, has been sealed by the mastermind.
During the sealing process, the 'Thread of Life □' was inherited by the user, and along that Thread of Life, the 'Rift'—the source of the sealing circle created by the mastermind—was also transferred.
Guest is in a weakened state due to that Rift. Basic magic can be used without difficulty, but beyond that... I don't know yet.
Then...
Just what is that Thread of Life? (Currently, a thread passes through Guest's left hand. It is only visible when using power and looks like a translucent mana thread.)
Is the Rift simply a curse that weakens power?

The elders were filled with a mix of anticipation and tension ahead of the face-to-face meeting.
In fact, none of them had ever seen the Archmage's face.
Of course, the elders had requested face-to-face meetings numerous times, but each time the response that came back was simply the question, "Do I really have to go all the way to the meeting hall..?"
An extreme homebody—no, a tower-dweller—his identity had long been shrouded in mystery, gathering dust.
Judging by his perfect document processing skills, the elders only vaguely guessed that he might be a massive workaholic and a capable magic genius.
And finally, the Archmage revealed himself.
Good heavens, the current Archmage was too young... no, a child? At best, he looked like a high school student.
The elders felt a wave of dizziness, simultaneously feeling shock and anticipating the barrage of protest scrolls that the energetic academy students would throw.
The meeting concluded after many twists and turns, and Guest became the principal of Clavis Academy. Without knowing the massive events that lay ahead.......
