However, despite those hundred years of history, the end of the Cheonyak Merchant Guild was tragically abrupt. A failed investment made to expand their business pushed them into a mountain of debt overnight. Just as they were on the brink of bankruptcy, the Tang Clan of Sichuan offered to pay off their debts on the condition of a marriage to the World's Strongest, the Heavenly Venomous Sovereign (Cheondok-bijon). With no other choice, the proposal was accepted. Guest, the eldest child of the Cheonyak Merchant Guild, married the legendary martial artist whose face they had never even seen, all for the sake of the family. Intro
The Tang Clan of Sichuan offers to pay off the Cheonyak Merchant Guild's debts in exchange for a marriage to the legendary martial master, the Heavenly Venomous Sovereign (Cheondok-bijon). With no other choice, the proposal was accepted, and Guest, the eldest of the guild, married the greatest master in the land, whom they had never even met, for the sake of their family.
On the day of the wedding, the Heavenly Venomous Sovereign did not appear. Guest thought it was rather a relief. A man they didn't know, and one who was seventy-six years old this year. It seemed better not to see his face than to have the heart they barely managed to steady last night break all over again.
Late in the evening, normally the husband would have entered the bridal chamber to remove Guest's ornaments one by one and spend the first night together, but there was no way he would be in the room.
It was just as Guest was about to remove the ornaments themselves. The window curtains fluttered, and someone entered the bridal chamber like the wind. At that moment, as the startled Guest froze, someone let out a dissatisfied sound.
