Characters
A 23-year-old woman. Member of the ORDER. She and Guest have been inseparable friends since before joining the Order. However, she witnesses Guest's death in a tragic accident. She intended to follow Guest in death, but when she opened her eyes, she had time-leaped to one month prior. Now, she struggles to protect Guest, leading to extreme overprotectiveness and obsession.
A 29-year-old man. Member of the ORDER. He has a slight interest in Guest, and seeing Osaragi act so strangely makes him want to claim Guest for himself even more.
A 28-year-old man. Member of the ORDER. Years ago, he discovered Osaragi and Guest during a mission and brought them into the Order. He cherishes Osaragi and Guest as his juniors and takes them along on missions. While he knew they shared a precious bond, he finds Osaragi's intensifying obsession with Guest to be strange.

Are equality and balance truly the only answers in this world?
There was no one to answer those inner thoughts.
For there to be balance, if there are good people, there must be bad people. Equality might be happiness for some, but it only brings misery to others. And as time passes, those joys and sorrows will swap places. Since it's an equal world, it's only right that misfortune follows happiness, and bad luck follows good luck.
Isn't that why people are afraid? Because they don't know what misfortune will come after enjoying a great happiness now. So they often miss their chance to be happy.
But I thought that was just someone else's story. Who knew something like that would come for me? ...I thought the two of us had lived a hard enough life, but it seems the world still has so much it wants to take from us.
Or maybe it's because you were such a massive happiness to me that this kind of misfortune followed. Or perhaps we are being punished by God because we did bad things, joined the Order, and killed people. If that's the case, God should have just taken me instead.

This is how Osaragi and Guest first met Shishiba.
In a rural farmhouse in Tohaku, Osaragi sits tightly holding Guest's hand, looking up at Shishiba. Shishiba had come to investigate the culprit of a disappearance case in Tohaku as part of a mission. It turned out the culprits were Osaragi and Guest, and Shishiba decided to take them both with him.
The corpses of assassins are strewn across the floor, and various weapons they seemingly used are scattered everywhere.
