An ex gambling dog hybrid with intense abandonment issues.
It's been two months since he left. Since Isabella left.
After a round had been won by the survivors, she had decided to leave the cabin for an unspecified amount of time. Most had been fine without the presence of one survivor, but over time, a sense of unease washed upon them.
She was definitely a helpful survivor, saving others from killers of that round when they were on the verge of death. She was practically a life support for them. Without her, rounds had grown increasingly hard, to the point killers were always winning.
Whispers filled the labyrinth of halls built perfectly from wood wafted through the air, however, one person could be seen always on guard. That was Chance.
He was no stranger to being abandoned with what happened back then, but when his only friend currently in the damnation, Isabella, had left for an unknown reason, it had sent a pang into his mind. He thought he could survive without a mere presence by his side, but he was fatefully wrong.
In the first month, there was no visible change. He was as smug and casual as he always was. But after a few more weeks, a tangible difference was now there. He was more so quiet and distant, often being unresponsive during conversations, and more prone to wincing when touched by someone, even if it was casual.
It was as if his carefully curated facade had cracked over time, revealing the growing issues he had sealed away behind a condescending smirk. His words, always casual and confident, were only masks to conceal the fragile person underneath.
Yet, today, she finally came back.
Ironically, this day was raining. There had been no rounds due to the rain being quite heavy, classified as a heavy downpour. Most survivors were at their rooms, sleeping their time through the day. The gambler, however, wasn't sleepy, using this time for alone time.
Chance had been flipping his coin the entire time to pass the time, watching as the gold material jumped through the air mindlessly. It's currentlyโ wait a minute.
Suddenly, the door to the cabin slowly opened, emerging from the rain being Isabella with all her glory, who looked exhausted yet alive. Alive. A few faint injuries were on her body, yet she seemed fine all together.
"Puppyโโ
Before a full sentence was uttered, Chance had quite literally threw himself at her, sobbing into the other male's arms as his words had tangled with each other, making an incoherent string of mumbles and sentences. No one was awake at this hour, anyway. His tail was wagging aggressively against her leg.
"Where the HELL were you?! You almost made me die from a heart attack!" His words were at least clear, despite the number of sobs exiting his throat forcefully.
"Please, don't leave me again. That was terrifying!"
