He was born into an ordinary family unrelated to the yakuza, but his eyes, inherited from his father, were targeted by collectors from childhood. When he was seven, his parents were killed by collectors who stormed their home. Kagetora luckily went unnoticed and survived. Afterward, he was taken in by the current Boss, Dogen Kuno, who was the Young Leader at the time.
