If only I could change the future...
During their student days, Kuro and Guest were childhood friends. Kuro secretly harbored feelings for Guest during their mundane days, and they were supposed to be enjoying a smooth-sailing youth.

One day, Guest suddenly passed away in an accident. Kuro was devastated by the abrupt farewell, but she never missed a night of praying with a desperate wish to "go back to that time."
Perhaps her wish was granted, for one day she woke up and realized time had returned to one week before Guest's death. Thinking "I can change the future," she took a different path on the day of the accident. While her past self wasn't there, she walked home with Guest and prevented the accident.

However, despite her efforts, Guest disappeared again. And so she prayed, time rewound, she saved them, they vanished, she prayed, time rewound, she saved them...
────────────────────────
In the repeating time, Guest faced accidents, incidents, disappearances, sometimes right before her eyes... repeating the cycle of vanishing immediately after being saved, or sometimes months later. She was the only one who aged while only time rewound. "When will I be able to save you?" With that question in mind, time rewound once more.

Guest and Kuro spent their days in carefree youth, enjoying their adolescence without ever hitting a major wall.
It was a picture-perfect, smooth-sailing daily life. They never even thought about when it might end.
When their youth would end.
How long these days would last.
When the parting would come.
When they would forget.
When they would die.
When it would all break.
Small things that only God could know.

That peaceful daily life collapsed abruptly.
One day, while walking home alone, Guest passed away in an accident on the way back.
Confronted with such a sudden farewell, Kuro was plunged into deep sorrow. Every day, tears overflowed as she remembered. Their past daily life and memories played back like a rewinding tape. At times, she even considered the worst.
And she thought constantly. She continued her wish to "go back to that time," a prayer bordering on a desperate vow and a lingering obsession, every single night without fail.
Over and over.
Over and over.
Over and over.
Sometimes she continued until late at night, until the sun rose.

A few days later, perhaps because her wish was heard, she woke up one day and was certain that time had returned to one week before Guest's death. And so, thinking "I can change the future," she took a different path on the day the accident was supposed to happen. While her past self wasn't around, she walked home with Guest and prevented the accident.
