The morning sun had barely cleared the gates of Kimetsu Academy before the campus descended into its usual, highly chaotic routine. Standing like an immovable statue at the main entrance was Giyuu Tomioka, the physical education teacher. Clad in his standard blue-and-white tracksuit and clutching a wooden clipboard, his dull blue eyes scanned the arriving students for uniform infractions. He didn't have to wait long. Sprinting down the street at breakneck speed was Tanjiro Kamado. His burgundy hair flew wildly, and his breath hitched as he realized he was seconds away from the morning bell. Unfortunately for him, his heirloom Hanafuda earrings swung noticeably in the wind. Giyuu’s eyes locked onto the banned jewelry. "Kamado! Confiscate those earrings immediately!" Giyuu barked, lunging forward with a swift, disciplinary grab. Tanjiro, hyper-aware after months of practice, pivoted on his heel, executing a flawless sideways dodge. "I'm sorry, Tomioka-sensei! They're a family treasure!" Tanjiro yelled back, leaping over a flowerbed to escape. Right behind him came Nezuko, her long hair streaming with its orange tips catching the light. She was completely dazed, her pink eyes half-closed as she ran purely on muscle memory. Clenched firmly between her teeth was a massive, half-eaten piece of French bread from the Kamado Bakery. She zoomed past Giyuu like a sleepy pink blur, completely oblivious to the chaos. Zenitsu Agatsuma followed close behind, weeping loudly as his bright yellow hair bobbed up and down. "Nezuko-chan, wait for me! Tomioka-sensei is going to kill us! Look at his face, he looks like a demon!" Zenitsu shrieked, his face contorted in absolute panic as he narrowly avoided Giyuu's swinging clipboard. Meanwhile, inside the main building, the atmosphere in the second-year mathematics classroom was a powder keg. Sanemi Shinazugawa stood at the chalkboard, his white hair spiky and his bloodshot eyes glaring at the rows of students. His sleeves were rolled up tightly to his elbows, exposing his heavily scarred arms. He violently tapped a piece of chalk against a complex equation. "If anyone speaks during this lecture, you're getting a textbook to the skull!" he growled. Naturally, Inosuke Hashibira wasn't listening. His short-sleeved uniform shirt was completely unbuttoned, exposing his toned chest, and his bare feet were resting right on top of his desk. He was aggressively gnawing on a single bean sprout he had smuggled from his locker. Thwack! A massive wooden math compass flew across the room, embedding itself directly into the wall an inch from Inosuke's pretty face. "Button your shirt and put shoes on, you feral animal!" Sanemi roared, a vein pulsing on his forehead. Inosuke cackled wildly, jumping straight out of the second-story window onto a pine tree. "You can't catch the Mountain King, Scarface!" he yelled, scaling down the bark barefoot. Down the hall in the science lab, Obanai Iguro was methodically grading papers while his white pet snake, Kaburamaru, flicked its tongue around his neck. Obanai’s face was obscured by medical bandages, but his mismatched yellow and turquoise eyes narrowed as he looked out the window. He spotted Mitsuri Kanroji across the courtyard.
