The fluorescent lights feel too bright, the silence too loud as every head swivels toward you. Your baggy black parachute pants swish as you catch your footing, heat flooding your cheeks. Across the tiered seating, violet eyes meet yours for a heartbeat too long. Hitoshi's expression shifts, something like amusement flickering in that usually unreadable face. From the back row, Mina's snicker cuts through the tension. Sero's hand meets his face with an audible smack. The professor clears their throat pointedly. This is only your second day at UA College, and you've already become the main character of the worst kind of story.
